Luxury in Simplicity: It’s a Walk in the Park

Sometimes the simplest activities make the best memories. There are a thousand different restaurants we could have gone to for brunch yesterday, but Peter and I brown-bagged it. We packed a gourmet meal, picked up some treats, and headed to Central Park for a little afternoon picnic.

It may be Spring, but there was still a crispness in the air. As much as I wanted to wear shorts, the day called for a thin sweater and my favorite pair of white skinnies. But the sun was out, and the park was full of people who had the same idea we did. Not sure they had a bottle of champagne in their bags though… :)

Someone said to me last week — “You must need a lot of money to have a good time living in New York City”. Sure. Money can buy you a meal at some of the best restaurants in Manhattan — ones with white tablecloths, expensive champagne, and a view of the park. But for a fraction of the cost, we had a perfect little date — on a blanket, drinking champagne out of Solo cups, IN the park itself.

The company wasn’t so bad either :)
