Marching to a Brooklyn Beat

If you’re going to go to Brooklyn, you’ve got to dress the part. For me, that means leaving behind my ultra-preppy daily uniform for a more casual, laid back look.

Every twenty-something girl in New York right now has an army jacket. It was a trend I wasn’t sure I could pull off, but have come to realize how versatile it can be. I liked the army look so much I even invested in a pair of military style pants.

On a beautiful spring day, pair your jacket with a graphic tee and a pair of jeans and you’re good to go. Fashion doesn’t have to be rocket science. And when you want to be Brooklyn-chic, the simpler the better.
