Flavor of the Month

feature

Has this ever happened to you? You’re browsing the racks and a color just speaks to you. All of a sudden you wonder how you could possibly own so many clothes and not a single item in that beautiful shade of {insert color here}. That new found gaping hole in your wardrobe gets exacerbated when you start to notice everyone else wearing that color. It’s like a party you didn’t get invited to. So for the next 3 weeks, all you seem to want to buy is that color.

For me? Right now that color is mint.

It started with this mint Wantable necklace … and then I got this mint clutch … and now everything I seem to want to try on is mint! I guess there are worse colors to latch on to. Mint is perfect for spring. It’s fresh and bright, acts a great accent for a neutral outfit but also color-blocks well with other pastels.

For ‘date night’ last weekend, I decided to add some interest to my black and white look by adding accessories in my new favorite color. I thought it made the crisp blueish-green hue really pop against the black. What to you think?

Like most of my color obsessions, I’m sure this one will be short-lived. In a few weeks I’ll be on to the next flavor … discovering more holes in my wardrobe.

What colors are you finding yourself drawn to this spring?
