Dressing For All Your Early Summer Adventures

Memorial Day Weekend marks the official beginning of summer. The starting line of a marathon of barbecues and beach houses, picnics and pool parties. Months of being cooped up inside are easily forgotten, as the days grow longer and the sun shines brighter.

With so many possible things to do in the coming months, its important have a versatile wardrobe. One minute you could be laying out, the next you could be wandering about. You have to find outfits that can make the transition with you.

My trick is wearing a sundress in lieu of a cover-up. They’re cute, easy to throw over a swimsuit, and with a few accessories can be styled for a casual daytime look.

Take this red dress for example – I wore it on Sunday to Central Park over my suit. After a few hours of sunning I put my dress back on, threw on a belt and my bermuda hat and I had a completely new outfit for an afternoon of exploring.
