Transitioning from Summer to Fall ~ Maxi Skirt

for insta

The maxi has returned to the fashion forefront as one of summer’s staples. But you don’t have to put it away when the temperatures start to dip. If anything, the longer length of a maxi naturally lends itself to multiple seasons. To give my maxi an autumn twist, I’m pairing it with two more of my fall staples: a chambray and booties.

If you ask me, the versatility of a chambray is highly overlooked. Why should you only wear it as a shirt? Keep it unbuttoned and it doubles as a lightweight denim jacket. Or you could leave it open and tied like a makeshift crop top. It’s an easy layer to throw on and can give your look a little bohemian flair.

I took my transition a step further and paired the maxi with my favorite black booties. They dress up the look a little bit and also help make it more fall-friendly.

The leaves turning colors doesn’t have to have you getting red in the face, frustrated about your wardrobe. You have a maxi. You have a chambray. Put them together! You’re fall-ready.
