Coloring Outside the Lines + Wantable GIVEAWAY!

cover

You know the feeling. A little piece of pretty calling your name. The images flash in your head: all the ways I can wear this beautiful something. I can dress it up, dress it down, dress it every which way, all of them fab.

And yet too often we get locked into our routines. I wear this top with this skirt and this necklace because I did it this one time and it looked nice. It’s just easier when your head is still foggy from the alarm blaring in your ear and the coffee is still dripping into the pot, not yet giving you its caffeine goodness so your neurons can fire at a human rate.

That’s why you have me! Well, me and people like me anyway. So I’ve teamed up with Brittany Townsley of The F Bombs to give you some ideas of how to go in two very different directions with the same piece. Like this necklace for example, from our favorite Wantable subscription box!

Wantable makes this problem a little easier by sending you new pieces every month to break you out of the fashion doldrums.

This piece is a dazzler!! Bright blues and lavender gems on a distressed gold chain. One of my favorite pieces from my Wantable subscription as of late. I chose to pair my jewels with a preppier “casual friday at the office” look, and Britt took her gems and gave them a little edge. There’s no right or wrong way to style something – just YOUR way, that day.

Hopefully this helps you break out of the style funk you inevitably have with some of the items in your wardrobe. Don’t be ashamed. We all do it. You just need to be willing to try something different, something new, and all of a sudden that top you’ve had forever and always worn with the same pants now has a fun new twist. Or that necklace you reserve for your little black dress now has a new beat. It’s like a brand new wardrobe and you didn’t even have to go shopping!

To help you shake up your wardrobe, Brittany and I have teamed up with Wantable to give one lucky reader a box of their choice! If you haven’t heard of Wantable yet – it’s time to get on the bandwagon. They are a subscription type service, similar to a Birchbox, for makeup, intimates, fitness and accessories. I know I speak for Britt when I say – we are hooked on our accessories subscriptions!!

Enter by using the rafflecopter at the bottom. Contest runs until Wednesday, November 5th at 11:59 pm EST. Good luck!
