What To Wear While Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and there’s a lot of planning to be done. What dishes to make, what drinks to mix, what outfit to wear, and what Black Friday sales to hit at midnight! Over the next few days I’ll be sharing some inspirations for all of these, but since I’m packing for Milwaukee right now let’s start with what to wear.

If your Thanksgiving consists of slaving in the kitchen or football on the couch, look #1 is for you. It’s comfortable and cozy, while still reminding your fam you’re chic. The burgundy accents are very fall-festive, and the oversized sweater will let you get away with eating one extra piece of pie.

But what if your Thanksgiving is a more glamorous occasion – one with a little less beer and a little more wine. You might be looking to dress up a bit, and should definitely think about a midi skirt. Midis are flowy and feminine, and a little more forgiving than other skirts after you’ve eaten seconds.  Pair it with a structured jacket with a little peplum flair to create a nice balance and an elegent holiday look.
