You know those rainy cold days where you don’t want to get out of bed? Maybe you move from the bed to the couch, but you’re not letting go of that blanket. Or the remote that is controlling the DVR during your latest Scandal binge. The thought of stepping outside is dreadful.
But sometimes you have no choice. You inevitably need something in that big scary world out there, and you have to buck up and face the elements. These are the days I turn to my extra cozy, extra billowy, extra necessary blanket scarf. It’s honestly so warm I sometimes don’t even need a big coat.
Sweater: Banana Republic // Jacket: Express (on sale!) // Leggings: Zara // Scarf: Lizzibeth // Hat: Lizzibeth (similar) // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff // Boots: Hunter // Bracelets: Stella & Dot // Lip Color: MAC “Verve“
When I’m forced to leave the confines of my little apartment, my go-to uniform is the next best thing to pajamas: leggings, oversized sweater, hunter boots and a blanket scarf. Throw on a leather jacket for extra layers and a hat for good measure (when I haven’t brushed my hair), and I’m ready to face the world!
Part of the reason I love this scarf is it’s ability to coordinate perfectly with my favorite handbag. Looks like I was ahead of the game with next year’s Pantone Color of the Year, “Marsala”! But I’m looking to add to my collection, and am currently eyeing up these cozy scarves from Madewell, Zara, and Old Navy. We’re heading into the depths of winter, and it’s important to have an arsenal of neck-warming numbers at your disposal.
Have you joined the blanket scarf party? How many are currently in your rotation?
