I always start my Christmas shopping off with such good intentions. “I’m getting it done early this year,” I tell myself. Or, “Today I’m going to knock everyone off my list!”
And every year, without fail, I end up shopping for myself a few too many times and buy everyone’s gifts at the last minute. Anyone else have this problem?? Tell me I’m not the only selfish shopaholic here…
Sorry I’m not sorry, but the sales are just too much to pass up! Plus I’ve got a lot of Christmas parties coming up, and I’ve only shown you one potential outfit. So today, I’m sharing with you a dressier number, fit for a fancy holiday sioree or work party.
This outfit is fitting because it falls into the “I was shopping for everyone else and bought this instead” category. It was one of those days that I loved everything I saw, and waited a whole 2 hours before I ripped the tags off and wore it all at once. But since this emerald green color just screams holidays, I plan to re-wear this look at my company party later this week.
This cheetah print dress has a conservative A-line cut that is perfectly work appropriate while still giving off a playful amount of sass. Cover up a little bit with a blazer or this sparkly sweater for a simple, layered look. Or you could bare some skin sans-sweater and try it with a little belt to further emphasize your waist. In keeping with the animal theme, I paired this holiday-ready look with my newest (faux) furry friend from Ann Taylor and some dressy booties.
Dress: LOFT // Sweater: LOFT (on sale!) // Bag: Ann Taylor // Coat: H&M (similar) // Booties: DSW // Tights: Ann Taylor // Watch: Kate Spade (almost exact) // Bracelets: effYbee and Stella & Dot // Sunnies: Coach (love these)
So who’s done with their Christmas shopping? I’m sure not. But at least I’m ready to party!
