“The-Day-After-a-Big-Eating-Fest-Like-Christmas” Attire

A New York Love Affair :: Cozy Knits

What does an airport travel day and “the-day-after-a-big-eating-fest-like-Christmas” have in common? They both call for oversized cozy knits, properly broken-in jeans, and a hat to cover up my day-old waves. That is, if pajamas, or my boyfriend’s sweater aren’t an option.

These items are a winter trip staple, and I don’t leave New York without them. With the holidays being one long eating fest, (not that I’m complaining … my cleanse will start in the New Year. I swear. For now, bring on the cookies!!), I like to spend my post-Christmas days in stylish comfort, and this turtleneck is to softest one I’ve got!

Sweater: Banana Republic (in navy) // Jeans: Denim & Supply (on sale!) // Hat: Forever 21 (similar) // Bag: Adora c/o // Boots: Vince Camuto (taller version)

Have I ever told you the story behind this particular sweater? It was one of those days that I went out to run errands and I just hated what I chose to wear. Rather than waste anymore time in my less than ideal outfit, I walked right into Banana Republic, bought this sweater, and changed in the bathroom before leaving. Don’t you just love New York? It’s one massive closet, available for purchase.

So if PJs and slippers aren’t an option today, what are you wearing?
