At this point, it’s pretty clear how strong my feelings are for a particular blanket scarf. You’ve seen me wear it here, and here, aaaaand here, and here…you get the idea. I have a problem. So I decided to give my beloved billowy bundle of joy a temporary break as I scoured the internet for new ones (sidenote: they are literally sold out everywhere but here). In the interim, I’m throwing some of my older scarves back into the ring.
Sweater: Banana Republic (oversized boy sweater) // Leggings: Necessary Clothing (loving these) // Booties: Coach (similar) // Scarves: gifts (love this oversized ombre one) // Coat: Zara (similar) // Bag: Ann Taylor (on sale!)
The problem is, these other scarves are just not as warm. Probably didn’t help that we had the brilliant idea of shooting near the water…! In an attempt to compensate, I put my scarves on double duty – pairing two very similar prints together and creating a fuller and warmer look.
Since my blanket scarf usually adds a pop of color to my look, I turned to my coat collection for jolt of vibrance. I thought this red peacoat would compliment the grey and blacks nicely. Adding a fierceness that would match the leather and fur accents throughout my look.
So if you’re on a blanket scarf time out like me, and are still trying to stay warm – put your scarves on double duty. It’s ALMOST the next best thing.
