I’ve been wearing my blanket scarves so much lately I almost forgot what a quality silk modal scarf felt like! They are one of the oldest, most glamorous accessories a woman can own. This blanket scarf phase will most likely come and go, but silk scarves will always be a timeless staple for your wardrobe. To be honest, some of my favorite silk scarves were my mom’s or grandmother’s!
Luckily, one of my blogger bffs is the designer and stylist behind an incredibly gorgeous collection of scarves. Lex of Lexicon of Style helped pull my head out of the billowy blankets and got me re-focused on the classics. Her designs are classy with a twist, full of vibrant colors and character (a lot like her!). In anticipation of her new silk modal line (a warmer version of her current collection), we took to the streets of New York to each show you two scarves, two ways.

For Look #1, I went for “boho meets moto” chic. I wanted the blue and turquoise to be the focal point, so I kept the rest of my look simple. Occasionally I walk on the wild side (something I’m trying to do more of), but for the most part I’m a pretty girly girl. That’s why I love the Lucite Skull Scarf. The understated skulls are masked by the gorgeous detailing, allowing this girl to sneak in the perfect amount of edge.
Lex on the other hand, was having one hell of a pattern party!! Head over to her blog to see both of her looks.

For Look #2, my inspiration ventured about 70 blocks north. I went for a classic uptown ensemble with a vibrant burst of color. Having a blank slate of winter white allowed the pattern on this Aspen Scarf to really pop. I absolutely love all the jewel tones, so naturally I picked burgundy as the accent color to round out my look.
One of my favorite parts of this blogger journey is the opportunity to collaborate with stylish ladies and cool brands. I had such a blast playing dress-up with Lex’s scarves, and even more fun shooting with the fabulous fashionista herself!
