The best part about getting new clothes is shopping. Searching. Digging through rack after rack until you find the perfect item. It’s the chase really.
But what if you need something in a hurry? Or don’t feel like braving the masses at your local mall. Or maybe it’s just raining or your favorite store is in another city … but you’re really in the mood for something new, something pretty, and something fun.
Dress: Eliza J | Coat: Lizzibeth | Shoes: Aldo (love these) | Clutch: Gigi New York | Watch: Marc Jacobs | Bracelets: Stella & Dot + Stella & Dot | Earrings: Stella & Dot
Luckily, there are a bunch of online retailers that will ship to you for free! So you can fill up that virtual shopping cart with three different sizes of ten different dresses and send back whatever you don’t like.
It’s the best way to move your dressing room to you own bedroom. And that $1500 charge on your credit card is only temporary!
Some of my favorite places to rack up a hefty online tab are Nordstrom and Asos. When I went to Florida I probably ordered 17 different dresses before finding the perfect one — an Eliza J dress that’s currently on sale! I completely fell in love with the brand and it has become my go-to for all things girly and fun.
This black, white and pink one is the second Eliza J in my collection. And I didn’t even have to wait for the postman to try it on! This pretty number was sitting, TAGS STILL ON, in my mom’s closet back home. I stole it for this photo shoot, logged into Nordstrom right after to purchase it, and it was waiting for me in New York by the time I flew back. Now that’s how to shop.
With wedding season fast approaching, I’m sure I won’t be the only one on the hunt for numerous party dresses. Rather than bringing your strapless bra and high heels to the store, exercise your index finger and fill that virtual shopping cart!
