Happy hours … dinners … blogger events. I don’t know about you, but my week night schedule is much more exciting during the summer months. But just because everyone is in a perpetual state of “vacation mode”, doesn’t mean I have any less work to do at the office. Which also means 9 times out of 10, you’ll find me rushing out of the office with no time to change before the evening’s festivities.

One of the ways I try to bridge the gap between my on-the-clock and off-the-clock attire is by wearing lots of color. It’s summer! Be bright. Be bold. I try to keep the cut and fit of my look professional, but find ways to infuse color through different patterns or material. It’s a great way to create a feminine and fun look that’s both work appropriate and cocktail ready.
Like I’ve written about before, transitioning from day to night is not rocket science. And it’s even easier in the summer when you can fill your work wardrobe with fun dresses full of color.
What are some of your go-to tricks for transitioning from day to night?
