Wine Not?

A New York Love Affair :: Wine Not

Burgundy, merlot, and bordeaux – they’re not just for drinking anymore, ladies! I couldn’t be more excited to re-introduce this oxblood hue to my wardrobe for fall. If you hadn’t noticed, its everywhere lately, and will be a great way to make a sexy yet sophisticated statement this season.

In case you forgot, I fell harddddd for this color last year, as evidenced here, and here and here. It definitely fits well into the stereotypical autumn palette, with it’s warm notes and rich color. But if you’re too anxious to wait until the leaves start to change colors, you can definitely find ways to work this gorgeous color into your late-summer game.

Let the deep red be the focal point of your look, anchoring some of your summer essentials. White jeans and nude accessories are a great way to give your new favorite color center stage, without it feeling full-on fall. I also chose these nude peep-toe mules because they are perfect transitional bootie for September.

And because I can’t help but want to spread the burgundy love, I’m sharing some of my favorite picks for the upcoming season. If you haven’t started to sip the kook-aid wine, well maybe now it’s time…

I absolutely love these colours together! The leather detailing at the bottom of the shirt is awesome.
