Personal style is a way to make a statement without saying a single word. And believe me, I’m all about finding your sartorial voice and expressing that individuality. I try to draw inspiration from various sources and put my own twist on things, rather than blindly following trends.
Trends becomes trends because a lot of people like something (obviously) but that doesn’t always mean they’re worth jumping on. But sometimes, that trend is too good to pass up. Sometimes, you just gotta do it.

I’ve been sitting on the sidelines with this over-the-knee boots fad for about a year now. Not because I didn’t like them, or because I was afraid I couldn’t pull them off. Truthfully, I just couldn’t find a pair I liked. I have the daintiest ankles, but athletic, muscular legs from years of playing sports, so every single pair I tried on was a fail. I finally found the most elegant pair at Cole Haan, and they fit like a glove. They are everything I dreamed an OTK boot would be.
After a few short weeks, I’m finding just how versatile these beauties can be. The weather has been unseasonably warm, which has me finding every excuse possible to wear them bare-legged with a little dress. As temperatures begin to drop, you can add tights to those same looks with no problem! And next week I’ll show you a few ways to easily style them with jeans or colored pants.
If you’re still on the hunt for your own OTK boot, don’t worry! I’ve got you covered. Be sure to shop some great options here:
