As many of you know, Peter and I tied the knot on September 2nd of this year (more pictures to come!!) As a newly minted bride, I feel it is my duty to pay it forward with all the wedding planning wisdom I accumulated along the way. So today I have partnered with Babbleboxx to share 5 Bridal Essentials that will help you kick start your wedding planning.
Less than a week after we got engaged, Peter and I hopped on a flight back to Milwaukee to take a look at wedding venues. I vividly remember raiding the airport convenience store to stock up on wedding magazines for the journey. BRIDES Magazine has always been my favorite, bursting with inspiration on dresses, decor, and even honeymooning. Now that I am going through wedding planning withdrawals, I still find myself flipping through the gorgeous pages of this magazine.
What is wedding planning without a little bubbly? Being engaged is a reason to celebrate! But planning can also be stressful at times, so it helps to have an adult beverage or two to get you through. Being a good Italian-American, I’m partial to a good prosecco. Cinzano is one of Italy’s most iconic brands of sparkling wines, and is the perfect bubbly to share with your bridesmaids, groom, or even keep for yourself!
Another bridal checklist item that should not be overlooked is the search for the perfect under garments. If you are like me, you will likely be hitting the bridal diet and bridal bootcamp hard, but it doesn’t hurt to have a little extra help with a high-quality shapewear, which creates the smooth hourglass silhouette we all love. Maidenform Shapewear gives you that. Whether it is your bridal shower, bachelorette party, or even the big day, its important to feel amazing and confident, which a great shapewear can help you accomplish.
Something else that might be easily overlooked is a solid hair removal plan for the big day (and even honeymoon!). Nair Hair Remover is a great choice for your face and bikini line. I like the ready strips because they are easy to use, mess-free, and fit nicely in your toiletries bag.

Last but not least, there’s the most timeless checklist of all: something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. I found “something blue” to be the hardest, and ended up relying on my bridesmaids’ blue dresses. Luckily, Safi Kilima has got all future brides covered! Consider incorporating “something blue” into your bridal jewelry with their beautiful tanzanite bolo bracelet. Your jewelry is one of the most important touches to your look, and should not be left to the last minute! Take your time, and (pro tip) be sure to bring all your jewelry to your final fitting.
